About the event
Kajal has teamed up with Pauli to put together a very special day retreat dedicated to letting go, combining an exciting fusion of yoga therapy, meditation, pranayama, journaling and Kajal’s healthy gourmet vegetarian thali lunch and afternoon high chai.
Join Kajal and Pauli (mindfullypauli) for our Wellbeing Day Retreat (from 9.45am – 3pm), a day dedicated to YOU and designed to help you let go and balance your mind, body and soul.
Letting Go is important. If you're able to let go and start accepting things as they are instead of how you'd like them to be, you'll find that you'll suffer less from the problems of stress, emotional ties to the past or future, frustration with others, struggles with loss, and succumbing to fear. By letting go, you'll set yourself free.
Our Wellbeing Day Retreat is an intensive ‘self-care’ day designed to help you learn how to let go, slow down, detach from your ‘life’ and create a healthy relationship with your mind and body.
Suitable for all levels, any age, gender or body shape.
As a wellbeing therapist and master chef, Kajal brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of wellbeing and she's looking forward to sharing this special day with you.

Kajal’s Kitchen Wellbeing Day Retreat - Full Itinerary
Morning (timings are approximate)
Arrive 9.45am - Welcome Detox Juice - Your wellbeing day retreat will start with introductions and a welcome detox juice, freshly prepared by Kajal, to kick-start your morning.
10.00am-11.45am Yoga Class with Mindfully Pauli
Your first session of yoga starts in the inspiring hands of our teacher, Pauli. This uplifting transformational yoga therapy class is steadily paced, incorporating deeply calming and balancing breathing with yoga asana/postures, all of which support your physical and mental wellbeing. By applying Pauli’s expertise in breath coaching for stress and yoga therapy, this practice teaches you to deeply relax and let go. Class includes yoga, pranayama and shavasana.
11.45am – 12.30 pm: A delicious lunch will be served by Kajal - The focus of her recipes for the day will be on healing and she will be available during lunch to answer your questions about her healing food creations. After the wonderful yoga sesssion, you get to enjoy a very healthy, desi style thali prepared freshly by Kajal. The thali consists of Daal, bharta shaak (stuffed aubergines, potatoes, banana curry), salad, Sambharo (stir fried cabbage, chilli and carrot) carrot and garlic pickle, rotlo (millet bread), dhosa na ladoo (iron loaded, free from refined sugar ladoos), fulka bhajia (fenugreek, spinach and mixed veg fritters) served with delicious green chutney.
12.30-13.00: Motivational Talk by Kajal
13.00-13.30: Journaling and letting go ritual
13.30-14.00: Guided Meditation
You will finish the afternoon session with a wonderful 30 minute guided meditation for letting go. Guided meditation, deep relaxation and mind-body techniques are researched and proven approaches that have lasting benefits for radiant health, happiness and self-empowerment.
14.00-15.00: Kajals famous high chai – the day ends with afternoon tea where you get to enjoy Kajals delicious creations including garam dhokla's (steamed savoury chickpea and samolina cakes) served with delicious garlic chutney, Kajal's Kenyan Special Chatako (steamed taro leaved fritters stirfried with spicy potatoes, coconut and served with aromatic spices, chutneys), healthy truffles, freshly made date cookies, bounty coconut and dark chocolate treats and much more!
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for yoga and meditation.
You will need to bring a yoga mat (essential) and bolster (not essential).
Our wellbeing day retreat is held at our home and we look forward to welcoming you.
